Ryan Brewer Studio works with homeowners, businesses, designers, and artists all over the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Our studio and workshop is located in West Hollywood, California.
Uriel / Ryan Brewer
Uriel / Ryan Brewer’s work has been exhibited since 2006 including exhibitions at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre (Brussels, Belgium), Invisible Exports, Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, Envoy Enterprises, the Streb Lab for Action Mechanics (all NYC), and Last Projects (Los Angeles), among others. Their work has appeared in many publications including Artforum, W Magazine, Frieze, Mousse Magazine, New York Observer, Artmagazine, and E.R.O.S Issue 4: Man (Tate Modern, London, 2014). Brewer holds an MFA from ArtCenter College of Design  and a BFA with Honors from Parsons School of Design .
Juliet Johnson (she/they) is an artist and writer from Long Beach, CA, whose work creates idiosyncratic half-realities, ruminates on embodiment, the edges of language, and goops of all kinds. She assists Uriel and Ryan Brewer Studio in all manner of tasks including administrative, organizational, logistical support, sewing and fiber work, medicinal plant care, etc. In addition to her artistic practice she regularly participates in collaborative, curatorial, and disability justice projects.
Adrian Van Doren
Adrian Van Doren is a carpenter’s apprentice native to Los Angeles, CA. He assisted Ryan Brewer Studio in 2013 as a project facilitator for the buildout and staging of Breathe Life Healing Center‘s Laurel Canyon campus, and has since gone on to manage the workshop at the studio’s West Hollywood headquarters. Adrian’s professional endeavors include honing and developing finished carpentry skills as well as rough carpentry. He enjoys spending quality time with family, working on DIY home projects, and playing recreational sports.
